Working Tile – Live in Colours.

Genre – Advert

Target Audience – Under 18 Female
Outline – The main idea is that the perfume makes you want to dance and makes you feel colourful hence in the advert there is constant colour.

Character Breakdown –

Visual Elements
·         Lighting- room lighting, I used the room lighting as there was no other light substance for us to use
·         Camera angles and movement - dolly, high angle, eye-level I used these angels as the dolly made it seem as if the audience is dancing with the dancer
·         Editing- Colourful smoke effects, rainbow light leaks. these effects were used to make it more visually appealing and to give it more energy so it went with the music
·         Setting- Dance studio. As it was a bigger space and dancing was involved I found it was the best location to film as there wasnt many hazards
·         Props- None. In perfume adverts some dont have props whereas others do however as dancing was involved I felt there was no need for props
·         Costume- neon orange tie-dye top, black leggings. The colourful top corresponded with the edit and the music as its vibrant and energetic.
·         Graphics- Harrods logo at the end, 'live in colours, the new fragrance These graphics were used as it says what the product is and where you can buy it helping the audience in buying it.

Audio Elements – The backing track is called Toy and its by an artist called Netta I chose the version without the "chicken noises".

Rationale – why you chose this idea: why will it make a good project? List the skills that you have and the techniques that you have or plan to develop and can therefore use.

Primary and Secondary Research – The research I went into was different perfume adverts and mainly how they come across, and how they usually end it

Requirements and Resources – The cast was just me, the crew was Kailey and Faye, the equipment used is a dolly tripod and a Panasonic camera. The location we used was the dance studio at the college

Constraints and Contingency – The problems I encountered were the original person I had asked couldn't make it so I had to figure out who I was going to use and in the end I decided on myself. Another problem was that the first footage was not in focus meaning I had to re-shoot it

Legal and Ethical Considerations –  With the music it could have been copyrighted however, knowing I had danced to that in dance and it is on Instagram tells me it isn't going to be copyrighted because they would of taken it down

Proposed Schedule –  I had planned to film within the first week which I did however I needed to re-shoot the following week as shots were out of focus leaving me plenty of time to edit it.

Whilst doing this project my idea did change as I originally did have somebody else willing to dance for my advert however when planning on the day they informed me that they wouldn't now be able to due to being very busy. This caused problems as I wasnt too sure on what I would do. After some thinking I decided to do it myself making it a little stressful as I had to choreograph it rather quickly so I had time to film and edit.

I chose my idea because I know the coloured effects and the music will grab the audiences attention as it gets very energetic very quickly which will make peoples head turn and be like 'oh whats this'
