Here is my first shoot/ rough edit
What went well:
In the first shoot, the camera angles/shots and camera movement went well as it seems as if the audience is dancing with the main character. We did this by moving the camera around me. some parts could be seen as the 180 degree rule however it may not as the camera is constantly moving around me. The effect this has on the audience is that they will feel like they are there dancing due to the camera dollying,
The colourful effects in it also works well as the majority go with the beat/dance. This made it more aesthetic pleasing to watch and it didn't just look like effects were put in the edit at random. My advert would fall under pathos due to trying to show the femininity and how the perfume gives off positivity
Mise-en-scene: In this shot there is me, and a black background allowing me to stand out. I chose the costume because the tie-dye helps represent the marble effect off the perfume bottle.
the colour of the top can also represent youthfulness, Other than the dance studio, I could of filmed outside down the path in the walks. filming outside could of gone one of two ways, 1- very well due to the background being easier to work with and 2- lighting would have ruined the ENTIRE thing
Working with a crew went well, they listened to what I had asked for. I had two crew members, Faye who was on camera and Kailey that was in charge of the music and counting me in. I stuck to my plan as I felt it was the best way to go about my advert.
What I am planning on doing in the actual shoot is to still have the movement of the cameras, but have more close-ups that can represent intimacy however the wide shots are giving a blank space. however, it was very out of focus which became an issue making it hard to watch as the character was blurry. I overcame this problem by re shooting and using auto focus so then the camera can automatically pick up the person in shot and no just try and make a guess on what it is focusing on. I have learnt to definitely check the focus before filming and checking the tripod is working properly and isn't going to drop the camera all of a sudden during filming which kept happening during my second shoot

In the whole video I wanted to have colour everywhere, To do this effect, I chose a 'colour smoke effect' on YouTube and downloaded it.
When putting it onto premier pro at first I tried to use ultra key to remove the background however after finding this wasn't working I resulted in the blending tool. I selected 'lighten' which got rid of the background and just left the effect.
I played around with to opacity and scale until I got what I was looking

I chose this close up so there is more intimacy within in the advert which gives the audience an idea of the character and makes it seem more 'flirty'.
I chose this effect as it went to the beat as I went down on one foot. There is 4 explosions to the beat and they come up all over the screen fading into one another. This makes the video more aesthetically pleasing to watch as when effects go to the beat it tends to make it more appealing making people want to watch.

For the Graphics I decided to have the 'Live in colours only available at' In red and green so it matches the perfume bottle..
The Harrods logo which was made into a PNG in photoshop however, after being reccomended to change the colour of the Harrods logo. At first I was unsure but after thinking it seemed a good idea because Harrods only ever use white, black or green so the multi colour logo is seen as different and not ordinary.

To edit this I chose the background and then with the Background and magic eraser tool removed the background im standing infront of.

For this I imported the background then removed the background from me and the perfume and aligned it so I 'sat' on the bottle. I wasn't to sure how to make me blend into the background, however Faye played around with some of the effects and we ended up with this.

a really good advert , the use of graphics in this is phenomenal. The only criticism I have is maybe show to the audience more that this is a perfume advert and maybe use some more colour in the background by using a green screen. Other than that you should be very proud , great work !
